In the anniversary year "Consecrated for eternity. 1000 years of consecration of Merseburg Cathedral", the cathedral received a special gift: a new bell. The film follows the project from the casting of the bell on 25 June 2021 in Freiberg to the first ringing of the Friede bell on 31 October 2021.
