Magic. Music. Myth.

Restoration of the copia from the Merseburg Cathedral Abbey Archive and Library
"Whoever writes stays" - this popular saying, which probably goes back to a Roman statesman, succinctly describes the function of an archive.

The Merseburg Magic Spells on their way to becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Alexandra Mehnert, Member of the European Parliament, visits the cathedral city of Merseburg and signs a declaration in support of the Merseburg Magic Spells on their way to becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

HEINRICH II and MERSEBURG
The Merseburg Imperial Cathedral was the favourite place of the only canonised imperial couple, Henry II and Cunegonde. 1,000 years ago, on 13 July 1024, Emperor Henry II died in the Palatinate of Grone. Henry II stayed in Merseburg a total of 28 times.

Gifted and acquired - how the cathedral archives and library grow
In recent years, numerous items have been acquired and donated, which are now on permanent display in the specially designed exhibition "Gifted and Acquired. New additions to the Merseburg Cathedral Archive and Library" in Merseburg Cathedral.
