"Classic meets Cathedral" benefit concert organised by Saalesparkasse

Classical music amidst time-honoured walls: On 10 October 2025, 6 pm, Saalesparkasse invites you to its traditional charity concert in the impressive Merseburg Cathedral for the first time.

Under the title "Classics meets Cathedral", musical masterpieces merge with unique architecture to create an unforgettable cultural experience. An exclusive concert with only 400 seats awaits you - organised by the Kammerakademie Halle e. V., the young conductor Farhad Garayusifli and the soloist Magdalena Greuner (flute).

Scholarship holders and musicians from the Staatskapelle Halle will perform works by Tomaso Albinoni, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.

The proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Vereinigte Domstifter Foundation, which is committed to preserving and maintaining the churches and cultural assets in Merseburg, Naumburg and Zeitz.
