Numerous locations in Merseburg Cathedral show illustruations of its famous founder Emperor Henry II. Evidence of the veneration of the imperial couple during the Middle Ages can be found everywhere. That is to no surprise as with the consecration of its cathedral, Merseburg gained one of the most important sacral buildings of Germany. On this tour, Merseburg Cathedral from the 11th century comes back to life, the time of its construction and consecration. We show you where you can still find Emperor Henry II and his wife Cunigunde today, and which myths surround the building provess.
