While visitors are taken back in time in the chapter house as part of the “Jahr1000Schätze” program, the Hofstube in Merseburg Castle awaits you with presentations about each exhibited piece of “Jahr1000Schätze”, examining one century at a time and its historic signifcance for Merseburg Cathedral and the region.

In May the “Jahr1000Schätze” of the 16th century, the turbulent time of the Reformation, can be viewed. With her presentation, historian Lisa Merkel will bring the topic of Merseburg during the Reformation closer to you and introduces the results of her research about bishops’ churches at this time.
