Against the backdrop of Merseburg Cathedral, potters, artisans and direct producers will be showcasing their skills and handmade goods at the Merseburg Raven Market on 29 and 30 March. In addition to everyday useful items and individual pieces of art, visitors can also expect a supporting programme with live music, drinks and food.
Merseburg Cathedral will also open its doors on Saturday, 29 March from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the Open day and invites all residents to take a look inside the cathedral and cathedral treasury free of charge on presentation of their identity card.
On Sunday, 30 March, Merseburg Cathedral will be open between 10 am and 5 pm. On this day, we will also take you on an hourly tour from 12 noon to 3 pm down into the impressive Princely Crypt. In the Special guided tours you can view a total of 37 elaborately decorated pewter and wooden coffins.
On both days, the KinderDomusMerseburch and many young cathedral visitors. Between 12 and 3 pm, children and their families can make small pendants for Easter in the cloister.
