Motet with the Stadtsingechor Halle

The Merseburg Cathedral regularly hosts festive motets performed by the Stadtsingechor zu Halle under the direction of Clemens Fläming.

The Stadtsingechor zu Halle is a boys' choir sponsored by the city of Halle (Saale). Its roots lie in the 12th century. As the oldest educational institution in the city, the choir is part of the Central German boys' choir tradition and acts as a cultural ambassador not only in Halle, but also in the region and at home and abroad. The choir consists of around 85 singers aged 8 to 18 and around 30 young singers who rehearse together several days a week, spend their free time and school time together and organise a total of around 30 concerts, motets and smaller performances per year.
