Important emperors and kings, mystical spells and legends as well as priceless art treasures - children can experience history and culture up close in Merseburg Cathedral. On International Children's Day on 1 June, children can feel like little princes and princesses from 4 p.m. and follow in the footsteps of the Ottonian kings and emperors who made Merseburg famous throughout the region. In the cloisters of Merseburg Cathedral, children can travel back over 1000 years, discover exciting stories of King Otto I or the canonised imperial couple Henry II and Cunegonde, and make their own crown to take home.
Participation is free of charge for pupils up to the age of 14.
Prior booking via our Visitor Centre is strictly required.
