At the grand evening concert, two sound worlds meet, each belonging to Hungarian musical tradition in a unique way: the cimbalom with its dazzling, rhythmically striking sound language, and the large Ladegast organ with its orchestral richness. Enikő Ginzery and Prof. László Fassang will create a concert evening that is as rich in colour as it is exciting, bridging folk music influences, virtuosic art music, and sonic improvisation. Enikő Ginzery She is considered one of the most distinguished cimbalom artists of her generation. The musician, who was born in Bratislava, initially studied at the conservatory in her hometown, then at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, and later honed her skills at the Saar University of Music with a focus on contemporary music.

In her concerts, she showcases the cimbalom as a versatile solo instrument, transcending folkloric clichés with great virtuosity, delicate tonal imagination, and a repertoire spanning from early music to the present day. Thus, at the evening concert, Enikő Ginzery brings a special colour to Merseburg Cathedral, bringing Hungarian musical tradition to life in all its expressiveness.
