During the Baroque period, Merseburg Cathedral was used as court church by the ducal family of Saxe-Merseburg. Numerous imposing changes to the building can be attributed to this time: high altar, princely crypt and organ case bear witness to this era. Discover more about the lives of princes at this time, reconstruction in the cathedral and the crafting of the new big cathedral organ. The Baroque tour ends at the Baroque terrace garden amid its blooming ambience.
