Merseburg Cathedral Music II: „Completed Early“

Merseburg Cathedral Music regularly organises concerts in Merseburg Cathedral. The varied programme ranges from organ concerts on the Ladegast organs to symphonies and chamber concerts in the cloister.

Under the title „Early Achievers,“ two geniuses meet in the High Choir on 30 May: Mozart and Schubert. Almut Quandt (violin) and Michael Schönheit (fortepiano) present works of astonishing maturity and depth. The historic keyboard instrument ensures an authentic, transparent sound. A captivating evening of chamber music oscillating between intimacy and virtuosity, which makes use of the cathedral's special, concentrated atmosphere.
