Merseburg Cathedral Music IV: „Johann Sebastian Bach and the Organ“

Merseburg Cathedral Music regularly organises concerts in Merseburg Cathedral. The varied programme ranges from organ concerts on the Ladegast organs to symphonies and chamber concerts in the cloister.

The 1st of August is dedicated to the „Queen of Instruments“. David Kiefer, prizewinner of the 2025 Silbermann Competition, will bring Bach's masterful organ works to life. With technical brilliance and historical understanding, he will make use of the majestic acoustics of the cathedral. From fiery virtuosity to meditative intimacy: experience an impressive listening experience where architecture, instrument and interpretation blend perfectly.
